George Bernard Shaw reminds us, “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place”.
VEPRA aims to be humanity’s meeting point, the platform of communication between all people and all cultures.

A platform for Exploration, Knowledge, Creation, Collaboration and Harmony.

Continuous and relentless commercialization of public space has constrained the ability of artists to communicate with the public in open spaces through platforms that bring people together. This is not a problem limited to a geographical or cultural background, this is a problem faced by artists and performers globally.

VEPRA is an initiative by the Albanian Art and Culture Movement to create an international multidimensional art and cultural center in Tirana, Albania.

Originating a public space for artists and scholars from around the world, VEPRA will serve as a platform for Employment,  Education, Research, Creation, Quality Entertainment, Development and Progress while simultaneously serving as a conduit for Cross-Cultural Dialogue facilitated not by states or markets, but artists, academics, professionals and civil society.

The center will operate as a self-sustainable, non-profit venue where artists and scholars, local and in residence, will engage in teaching and learning, performances, exhibits, film and theater, concerts, conferences, workshops, seminars, publishings, poetry evenings, brainstorming sessions, readings, discussion panels, cultural activities and more.

In addition, VEPRA will unite scholars and researchers from all around the world, working on languages, literature and culture.

VEPRA will dissipate both the multicultural under representation in Albania and the Albanian culture under representation worldwide
while fostering communication among people of different cultures.

VEPRA will encourage and ease the missing discussion between the people of the Balkans, beyond politics and religion.

VEPRA will facilitate the missing discussion between public and private spaces, beyond consumption.

Everyone at VEPRA participates. As a non-profit organization, VEPRA plans to operate as a volunteer based organization.
Volunteers will provide free performances, research, teach and train, while assisting ongoing programs.
