As part of the program Art for Hope, AACM in collaboration with Albanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
on January 14th 2011 at Illyria room, Sheraton, Tirana, brought together three distinct voices of the Albanian scene of visual arts,
in a charity exhibit to benefit the communities of the Shkodra region, located in northern Albania. The community suffered extreme natural hardship,
including disastrous floods during the end winter of 2010.
Painters, Gjovalin Paci, Helidon Haliti and Petraq Pecani responded curator Imelda Ahmataj’s call to this significant effort.
The exhibit included a short documentary reflective of the situation in Shkodra and Lezha.
With the extraordinary participation of albanian first lady Ms. Topi, Albanian and foreign diplomats,
honored artists Agim Quku, Muntaz Dhrami, Skender Kamberi, Naxhi Bakalli, academics and art enthusiasts.
AACM wishes to sincerely thank all parties involved.
Special thanks to: Albanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheraton Hotel Tirana, Adel Print and the most talented String Group.
